About this Event

The Mosaic Literary Conference fosters a collaborative space for individuals interested in literature, education, and the arts. MLC plays a crucial role in promoting creative thinking and knowledge sharing within the community. By inviting educators, community and arts organizations, as well as the general public, the conference facilitates a diverse and inclusive exchange of ideas.

The workshops offered at the conference cover a range of topics related to literature, education, and creative expression. These sessions provide opportunities for professional development, skill enhancement, and networking.

This year, the Mosaic Literary Conference turns its focus to Haiti, a nation whose history embodies resilience, revolution, and the unbreakable power of community. From the world’s first successful slave rebellion to its profound contributions to global literature and culture, Haiti’s legacy continues to inspire and challenge us today.

About the Literary Freedom Project

The Literary Freedom Project is committed to creating spaces that help elevate cultural narratives. Our programs value the variety of histories and cultures found in the Bronx and give educators & residents places to build community and explore social engagement.

Towards this goal, LFP presents One Book One Bronx, develops literature-based lesson plans, and hosts the Mosaic Literary Conference.
