About Onco-Ballet

The Onco-BalletTM Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in November 2023 to provide low-to-no-cost ballet classes to individuals facing cancer to spark joy, facilitate healing and foster self expression. Headquartered in Irvine, California, we expanded in April 2025 to serve the cancer community in New York. We believe that dancing in community can be a powerful part of the healing journey, helping participants reconnect with their bodies and emotions.

Our programs are built for those diagnosed with cancer and include 6-week series and partnerships with leading cancer centers and existing non-profit organizations. We welcome caregivers with a suggested donation of $15 to help support our mission of keeping our classes free for the cancer community. We also offer performance opportunities which will feature cancer patients and survivors from across the country.

Since launching in NYC, we’ve performed in the finales of both Dance Against Cancer, a benefit for the American Cancer Society, and TPA Talks, an event sponsored by the Pink Agenda, in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Onco-Ballet has also been featured on the Drew Barrymore Show, Los Angeles Times, ABC7, CBS Los Angeles KCAL News and more.

In New York City, we are focused on reaching more people in the cancer community, partnering with local hospitals, and working with existing organizations like the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge to offer free classes to both local cancer patients and those visiting from out of town for life saving treatments.
