About this Event

Adults of all ages are invited to have fun through collaborative, hands-on, and open-ended activities that explore nature in New York City’s iconic Fort Tryon Park. We will embrace our inner child and learn through play. Come with a curious mind and leave with a smile and deeper connection to nature.

Play games and go on walks led by environmental educators Alison Siegel and Emma Swenson to learn how to describe and identify species in the urban forest. Draw, photograph, collect, map, or trace found materials while admiring views of the Hudson River. Be still and listen to the wind, birds, or bugs in the trees or go on a walk guided by your intuition to find materials to contribute to a collective Earth art piece.

This workshop will change the attention you pay to the natural environment. Slow down, practice presence, and find joy through games, creative expression, and curiosity. Join PlayRx.life to connect with your community and yourself through play on Sunday, September 21st 2:00 to 4:00 pm on the Pine Lawn in Fort Tryon Park.

This is a FREE EVENT → RSVP Encouraged
