11AM–6:00PM: A free annual festival bringing artists, neighbors, & change-makers to co-create art and explore how we can care for our planet and each other.
Join Make Justice Normal and Street Works for a joyful street arts and climate action festival in Jackson Heights! At Street Works 2025, neighbors can expect a day of hands-on art-making, creative collaboration, and conversations about the climate justice issues shaping our city. You’ll also get connected to folks working year-round to make NYC a more climate-forward, just place to live. This event is free. Registration is requested.
Street Works are outdoor galleries for art that invite conversation, action, and joy, created by and for artists committed to justice. In a moment when our democracy feels fragile and our voices matter more than ever, we believe in making public space a place to connect, imagine, and take collective action. These projects go beyond "interactive art"; they’re about shared power, mutual learning, and co-creating a joyful civic life.
