The Creative Reset

Christina D. Eskridge, MPH, Christina D. Eskridge, MPH is the founder and executive director of Elevate Theatre Company LLC, an organization dedicated to creating space for audiences and artists to explore health and well-being through the art of storytelling. Christina has worked extensively in public health settings from clinics to safety net hospitals and large health systems, and considers herself a public health theater-maker. She serves in any roles including, on the Board for the National Organization for Arts in Health (NOAH) and was the National Mapmakers Coordinator for the Arts for Everybody Campaign. Christina leverages her experience, Master’s Degree in Public Health, and performance career to crafting plays, teach young people, and leads with a “health first” mind-set. 

ChelseaDee Harrison is a theater-maker, “artivist”, Teaching Artist, and public arts engagement specialist. She performs, teaches, curates, facilitates, develops curriculum, and produces live arts events. She has created and facilitated community-based arts workshops with institutions such as Ford’s Theatre, Carnegie Hall, The Maui Arts & Cultural Center, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), New York City Center, The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, The National Guild for Community Arts Education, the New York City Department of Correction, The Kennedy Center, and for survivors of human trafficking and their families. She is a tenured Teaching Artist with the New Victory Theater and a former New Victory Theater LabWorks artist. She is a 2026 and 2024 Arts and Humanities Fellow with the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, a 2024 TYA/USA Emerging Leader Fellow, as well as a 2025 cohort member of Puppet Showplace Theater’s Creative Residency for Black Puppeteers. She is the creator of the Free Black Chesapeake Project and she is also the executive producer, writer, and host of the warrior queen podcast, Vanguard of the Viragoes. Her inspiration is crafting multi-platform public engagement experiences that highlight history, challenge dominant narratives and ensure that art is a tool in the hands of the people.
