Sunday 21 December | 5 - 7PM Secret Pour, 1114 DeKalb Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11221
While most cyphers use recorded beats, this event offers live improvised beats created with the human body and a looper machine.
In a rap cypher, artists have the chance to practice their freestyle skills, build community with other rappers and most importantly, have fun! While most cyphers use recorded beats, this event offers live improvised beats created with the human body and a looper machine. Beats are created largely by the facilitator and founder of Voice Tapestry, Hannah Scholnick. Artists of all skill levels are welcome here!
Voice Tapestry explores and celebrates the intersection between improvisational music making via voice and community building. Music has the power to bring people closer to themselves and each other.
Voice Tapestry Circles celebrate the fun and spontaneity of improvisation using only the human body. Each 2 hour session includes opportunities to explore sound, jam and connect with others. This event is for anyone! Whether you identify as a singer or not, you are welcome here!
